Friday Fly of the Week: All About April Fools!

Howdy, Pilots! Today is Friday Fly of the Week! And we’ll celebrate the whole month of April with so much fun because it’s the month of April Fools! From jokes, and pranks (and new games, of course), ActionJetz will bring you the exciting stuff!

For Friday’s Fly of the Week, we’ll talk about some April Fool’s Day trivia. Did you know when it started?

April Fool’s Day or All Fool’s Day begun in 1582. It was once used to be celebrated as the New Year’s Day. After several centuries, lots of people from all over the world welcomed April Fool’s Day like the fun and hilarious start of Spring. Practical jokes and pranks are the order of the day!

Kids’ April Fool’s Prank: Wet Hand Shake!

Hey kids! Let’s play some April Fool’s Day prank this time! How about a wet hand shake to give to friends and neighbors? Sounds fun, huh? They’ll surely won’t forget that hand shake!

Here’s how we do it. We’ll create a ring with a hidden wet sponge. Remember, you might need mom and dad to help you out :)

Materials:

  • An old ring or button with a large hole for a shank
  • Fuzzy wire
  • Kitchen sponge
  • Scissors

How to do it:

  1. Put the fuzzy wire inside the hole of the ring or button
  2. Make a knot by twisting the fuzzy wire
  3. Make a hole just enough to place your finger inside. (see picture below)

Then tie a wet sponge onto the other end of the fuzzy wire.
Cut the loose ends of the wire.
Place the wet ring into your finger.

Then go and shake hands with your friends, playmates, and neighbor!
